I have been making jewellery for over fifteen years. I work mainly in silver with gold and combine pearls and semi precious stones to create individual pieces

 

I cast shells and fossils in silver and then combine them with pearls and semi precious stones to make necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

 

Prices range from £7 for a pair of stud earrings to £175 for a pearl and silver necklace.

Recently, I have started experimenting with procelain, making small casts of shells and fossils in pure white procelain to combine with silver. I am also making tiny pots which could be functional (salt dish?) and which I combine with little silver spoons.

Fancy learning a new skill?

 

I have taught silversmithing and jewellery for six years for Adult Education and privately.

 

If you would like to have a go or have something specific you would like to make, I can tailor individual tuition to suit your needs.

 

For makers with some experience, I can help you learn new techniques or brush up on something you would like more experience at.

 

My areas of expertise are: forming and raising small objects; precious metal clay; working with found objects; working with pearls and stones (stringing, drilling, setting).

 

As my cow shed is small (but perfectly formed!) I can only accomodate a maximum of two students at a time.
